OCEAN BANK RECENTLY HOSTED NETWORKING EVENT FOR THE
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS

Miami, Fla. October 21, 2005 – Ocean Bank recently hosted an evening of networking for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Held at Ocean Bank headquarters, the meeting was a celebration of National Women Business Owners Week. The event theme of Let’s Sail Together allowed association members and Ocean Bank officers the opportunity to discuss business initiatives and share strategies. Proceeds from the event benefit hurricane Katrina victims and will also support a cellular phone program for women business owners in Honduras.

“We are excited to be here today and welcome all NAWBO members to this networking opportunity,” said Lourdes San Martin, President of the National Association of Women Business Owners. “We also thank Ocean Bank for opening their doors and affording women business owners the possibility of establishing new business relationships.”

“We feel great satisfaction in welcoming this select group of women business owners, who are not just here to discuss business opportunities, but also to help hurricane victims and extend a helping hand to women business owners in Honduras,” said Silvia Gomez, Ocean Bank VP and Commercial Loan Officer.

The National Association of Women Business Owners in Miami was established 18 years ago. In the United States there are 80 chapters of NAWBO, with a total of 8,000 members.
