OCEAN BANK CONTRIBUTES TO
CAMILLUS HOUSE

Local Bank donates $25,000 to the fund raising event

Miami, Florida - May 15, 2006 - Ocean Bank recently donated $25,000 to benefit the Camillus House "Spark of Hope Dinner and Auction" fundraising event, which took place last Monday, April 24th at the Country Club of Coral Gables. Numerous local personalities gathered that evening to collaborate with Camillus House's worthwhile efforts to help those who are most in need in our community. Ocean Bank was represented at the event by bank president and C.E.O., José A. Concepción, leading a select group of directors and senior managers of the Bank. The dinner was especially prepared for the occasion by renowned Executive Chef Dudley Rich and the "silent" and "live" auctions proved to be very successful.

“As a board member of both Ocean Bank and Camillus House I feel extremely gratified with what we accomplished at this event,” said Tony Cabrera, Jr. “As presenting sponsor, Ocean Bank led the way in a fundraising effort that netted over $280,000 to help Camillus House provide much needed relief to families and individuals who are in desperate need right here in our community.”

Ocean Bank has established a long-time partnership with Camillus House and has consistently contributed to its projects for many years. The Bank has also sponsored Camillus House annual "Thanksgiving Day Feast" for the last 8 years, thus allowing needy people from our community to enjoy a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day.

Serving South Florida’s poor and homeless for more than 45 years, Camillus House provides a family of services to those in need: health care, addiction recovery, housing and life skills training, as well as emergency food, clothing, shelter and counseling. Through this “continuum of care,” Camillus House helps people learn skills, which enable them to rebuild their lives and reenter society as self-efficient, productive citizens.

Ocean Bank is the largest independent commercial bank headquartered in the State of Florida with more than $5.9 billion in assets and $5.1 billion in deposits. Chartered in 1982, Ocean Bank operates a network of 21 branches throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The Bank has received numerous accolades for its contributions to the South Florida’s communities.
