OCEAN BANK AGAIN SPONSORS
THANKSGIVING FEAST

Feeds More Than 1,200 Needy People this Thanksgiving

Miami, FL – November 28, 2006 - On Thanksgiving Day, November 23, more than 1,200 needy people in Miami-Dade County enjoyed a warm meal, thanks to Camillus House, the generosity of more than 150 volunteers and Ocean Bank. The Thanksgiving Day Feast began at 11:00 am at Camillus House. For the past eight years, Ocean Bank has been the title sponsor of this event.

"We are pleased to once again share this day with so many needy people in our community," said José A. Concepción, President and CEO of Ocean Bank. "Camillus House is committed to helping the poor and homeless of Miami and it serves a very important cause in our community. We hope to make this day a little brighter for many." Preparations for the Thanksgiving Feasts start way in advance of Thursday. Cans of donated food are sorted weeks before and on Wednesday, turkeys are roasted while volunteers chop vegetables, peel potatoes and get the food and decorations ready.

Serving South Florida's poor for more than 42 years, Camillus House provides a family of services to those in need: health care, addiction recovery, housing and life skills training, as well as emergency food/clothing/shelter and counseling. Through this "continuum of care," Camillus House helps people learn skills, which enable them to rebuild their lives and reenter society as self-efficient, productive citizens.

Celebrating its 23 year anniversary, Ocean Bank is the largest independent commercial bank headquartered in the State of Florida with more than $5.1 billion in assets and $5.8 billion in deposits. Chartered in 1982, Ocean Bank operates a network of 21 branches throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. It has received numerous accolades for its contributions to South Florida's communities.
