Can you spot a scam? Know the signs.

Scammers are always coming up with new ways to trick people into sending money to fake accounts.

 

Look out for unsolicited emails and text messages that:

 

  • Tell you there is fraud on your account and the only way to stop it is to send yourself money
  • Request you to send yourself money
  • Demand you to act immediately
  • Contain spelling and grammatical mistakes
  • Ask you to click on a link or open an attachment

 

 

When in doubt, play it safe. Don't respond, click links or make a payment. Remember, Ocean Bank will never ask you to send yourself money or call or email you requesting your personal or account information.
