FROM RECYCLED OCEAN PLASTIC TO DEBIT CARDS
From Recycled Ocean Plastic to Debit Cards
Ocean Bank is taking its long-term commitment for the ocean to its customers in the form of a new debit card.
“We are proud to introduce our new Ocean Bank debit card, crafted from ocean-bound recycled plastic,” said Agostinho Alfonso Macedo, President, Chairman and CEO. “We are bringing customers a tangible way to take part in our commitment to ocean conservation initiatives that protect marine ecosystems and foster environmental stewardship by making use of recycled ocean plastic waste in a positive way.”
“This initiative reflects our passion for our oceans. This is more than just another card—it’s a small but important step toward supporting our oceans.” Macedo said.
Ocean Bank has been active in efforts to improve the ocean, such as supporting education about marine ecosystems and organizing employee events in ocean clean-up days to collect plastic waste.
