Ocean Bank to Open First Palm Beach County Branch

Ocean Bank will open a branch in Boca Raton on November 12 –the bank’s first location in Palm Beach County, and the bank’s 24th branch.

The bank announced veteran business banker Dhaanwatie (Pavo) Bhagwandin will serve as manager of the new branch, located at 799 N. Federal Highway.

“Palm Beach County has been a strong market for Ocean Bank, particularly in construction and development loans,” said Agostinho Alfonso Macedo, President, Chairman, and CEO of Ocean Bank. “Having a physical branch in a high-traffic area in Boca Raton is the next step in our commitment to Boca Raton.”

Bhagwandin, who has 15 years’ experience in banking, joined Ocean Bank in 2022 as a commercial banker and business development officer in Miami and later served as interim manager of the bank’s downtown Fort Lauderdale office.

“I have been active in banking in Palm Beach County for the last fifteen years and look forward to my expanded role serving existing and new commercial and retail customers,” Bhagwandin said.
